There are more ARM chips than people on the planet!

Guest lecture #COMP10120: Monday 24th March 11am Kilburn LT 1.1 by Crispin Semmens, ARM.com

This talk overviews the technology portfolio of ARM, the world leading semiconductor IP company, based in the UK. How did 50 billion ARM processors get out into the world over the last 20 or so years? (>10B in the last year alone.) Electronic and software engineering along with a revolutionary business model all play a crucial role. This talk will give an overview of engineering at ARM (what do chip companies actually do? How do graduates contribute to the cutting edge of technology development?), including ARM Sheffield and System IP Interconnect in particular.
