Why enter competitions?

Improve your CV

You need to stand out from the crowd. Employers see hundreds of CVs, and first impressions count - chances are they will make a decision within 30 seconds of reading your application. By entering a national competition, you immediately highlight yourself as someone who is prepared to challenge themselves, and enhance their skills.

Get headhunted

Employers run competitions primarily to headhunt the best people for their graduate programme. By entering a competition, you are effectively entering the job applications pool several months ahead of the pack.

Have fun

Even if the job market is not on your mind yet, entering competitions often gives you opportunities to play with cool technology, and win very cool prizes.
