English Language Requirements
All students are required to be proficient in spoken and written English.
In order to be accepted on an MSc programme in the School of Computer Science you need to achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 (minimum) or TOEFL 600+ (paper-based), 250+ (computer-based), 100+ (internet-based) or Cambridge Proficiency Grade `C' (minimum) or Pearson 59 (writing 51) before the programme start date. In addition, overseas students who have attained at least 6.5 IELTS score, but less than 7.0, are required to attend the University's English classes during your MSc year of study.
The School is committed to helping each and every student fulfil their potential on the MSc programme. Therefore, in addition to the core programme modules, we offer free in-sessional English language courses for all overseas students. Further information about these courses will be provided at registration.
