Entry Requirements

For the academic year 2009/10 and 2010/11 postgraduate entry requirements vary according to the course. A summary of the entry requirements for each of our postgraduate taught courses is provided below. For full details of the entry requirements, see the MSc programme pages.

We require a First or Upper Second class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in computer science, or a joint degree with at least 50% computer science content. Applicants with a minimum of five years relevant computer science industrial experience and a good honours degree, or its overseas equivalent, may also be considered for admission.

The foundation route is specifically for students who have a good degree in a Science or Engineering subject but little formal training in Computer Science at degree level. We therefore require a First or Upper Second class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a Science or Engineering subject.
