Taught Postgraduate Funding
Kilburn Scholarships
We're pleased to announce the availability of 5 Kilburn Scholarships, at £2,000 each for international students.
The scholarships, which are open to all applicants from outside of the European Union, will be awarded to students joining our taught masters programmes in September 2012.
The Kilburn Scholarships are in memory of Tom Kilburn, who in 1948 designed and built the world's first stored program computer here in Manchester. They are awarded on academic merit to home/EU or international students who we believe have the skills and aptitude to help the help the School build on Kilburn’s legacy of achievement and innovation.
All international students are considered for funding when they apply, therefore there is no need to complete a separate application form. Those students with exceptionally high grades stand a better chance of being awarded. Note that there are five Kilburn Scholarships this year and the final decisions will be made end of July.
