The Web Ergonomics Lab will be hosting weekly seminars on Tuesdays, 13:00 - 14:00 to present research conducted in the lab and to share areas of expertise. We welcome all members of the IMG group to attend this seminar series. The first seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 7 in LF1, Kilburn Building and will discuss the following:
The electrocardiogram (ECG) is one of the most widely used and available medical tests in modern medicine. Since its inception in 1902 it has been used to diagnose a variety of cardiac and non-cardiac pathologies. ECGs are widely used by many groups of healthcare practitioners, including; doctors, nurses, paramedics and specially trained technicians. The GazeMod project (Gaze Modelling for Time Series Medical Data) uses eye tracking technology to examine the visual behaviour of healthcare practitioners that interpret ECGs as part of their clinical role, with the aim of investigating patterns of visual behaviour associated with expert and non expert practitioners in order to capture expertise through analysis of visual data.
