During term there are regular student and staff competitions, a quiz night and you can also get a taste for ongoing research projects in the school thanks to our regular research showcases each Wednesday afternoon. The University in general have societies that incorporate a huge range of interests and you're never far away from the vibrant night life and cultural scene of Manchester, which is just a 10 minute walk away.
Our MSc and PhD students have their graduation ceremony each December and we caught up with a few of them at the celebrations to talk about their experiences on the course, what they've enjoyed about Manchester and what they may do in the future. We also spoke to some academic staff members about what the day means to them, where our students might further their careers and their personal highlights supervising student projects.
