Interested in Science and Engineering but not sure what to study?
Come to an open day
You can find out exactly what we have to offer on one of our open days during which you can explore our facilities, meet our staff, and discover everything student life in Manchester has to offer.
...and see our technology fair
As part of the open day you will see our technology fair which showcases a number of exhibits by students and staff demonstrating the cutting-edge technologies which our students have worked with in the past year.
Applicant visit days
If you are a promising applicant who is resident in the UK/EU you will be invited to attend a School Visit Day.
Visit Days give you an opportunity to look around the School, see demonstrations and examples of the work our students are involved in, and to talk with some of our current students.
To help us assess your suitability for the subject you will be given an interview with a member of our academic staff. This will also give you the opportunity to learn more about the course and the School.
Alternative ways to visit
If you are considering applying to the School of Computer Science, we would strongly encourage you to attend an Open Day. This is the best way to experience what the School and the University has to offer. We are unable to accommodate individual visits to the School of Computer Science for prospective applicants, particularly during the summer as it is one of our busiest times. However, you are welcome to book on to a guided tour of the campus if unable to attend an Open Day.
If you are a UK/EU applicant, then once you have applied through UCAS you will be considered for a Applicant Visit Day as described above.
If you are an international applicant planning to visit Manchester, please contact the International Office at the University to see if they can facilitate a visit to the campus during your trip.
