June 09: The MM-NET 09 workshop is being held in Manchester on 12th June. I am the local event organizer.

April 09: I have been invited to give a presentation at the SSA Seminar in France. I hope to talk about evaluating SSA using software metrics. This quantitative assessment of SSA is joint work with Martin Ward and Christos Tjortjis.

March 09: Our paper on nano-patterns has been accepted at the LDTA 09 workshop. Nano-patterns are simple binary properties of Java methods. This paper demonstrates how they can be used as features for machine learning. In particular, we hope to characterize methods for learning when to spawn speculative threads.
