Nowadays, the use of digital computers has been prevalence in various engineering design and analysis applications. The utilization of digital computers has made it possible to automatize various processes and to handle complex systems, including nonlinear and time varying systems.

As most systems are continuous time, the integration between continuous time plants and digital computers creates what so called sampled data systems.

In this talk, I will present several aspects in design and analysis of nonlinear sampled data control systems.

Some application examples to electromechanical systems will also be presented.
