Department of Computer Science

Student advising father and daughter on open day

Open days

Get a glimpse of Manchester life and find out what it's like to study in the Department of Computer Science by attending an open day.

Pepper the robot
Meet the many characters who make up the Department (even the non-human ones) on an open day.

An open day is a fantastic way to explore the facilities you could use, meet the staff you could work with and speak to students currently on a computer science course - who have already made the same decisions about their future that you currently face.

It's also a great opportunity to discover everything that student life in Manchester, a city know for innovation, creativity and computing excellence, has to offer.

Undergraduate open days

We run undergraduate open days throughout the year. As well as finding out what the wider University has to offer you can also attend our Department's technology fair, which showcases the technologies our students have worked with in the past year:

The dates of our next open days are:

  • 19 and 20 June 2020
  • 3 and 10 October 2020

Book your place through the University website:

Visit days

Following application submission you may be invited to a visit day. These include a one-to-one chat with an academic staff member and are designed to provide you with all the information you need about your chosen course.

Our admissions department will be in touch should you be invited to a visit day.

Postgraduate open days

Postgraduate students at the University will work closely with our prestigious academic staff and stunning facilities - that’s why our open days are an ideal introduction for you to the University.
