Senior High School Diploma

Entrance requirements for all undergraduate degree courses

Applicants who have completed the Senior High School Diploma are required to undertake a foundation year or year 1 of undergraduate studies in order to be considered for first year entry to Computer Science. We require 90% average from High School Grade 12 with 90% in Grade 12 Mathematics and Physics, plus foundation or year 1 studies including a significant maths component and awarded by a recognised institution. Qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Senior High School Diploma may be considered without foundation or undergraduate studies if it is taken alongside AP and SAT/ACT examinations. Entry requirements are as follows:

• High School Graduation Diploma with a GPA of 3.6 or 90%, including 3.6 or 90% for Grade 12
• SAT with a combined score of at least 1300, including a minimum of 730 in mathematics
• ACT will be accepted as an alternative to SAT with a combined score of at least 27 and a minimum of at least 31 in mathematics
• Grade 5 in AP Calculus BC or Calculus AB (subscore not accepted)
• Grade 5 in AP Physics or Computer Science
• Grades 5 and 4 in two further advanced placement tests

Applicants applying with this qualification awarded by a school not on the list approved by The University of Manchester will not be considered for direct entry to the first year of our courses and are required to study the Integrated Foundation Year, unless the following requirements can be met.

93% overall average from the Lise Diplomasi alongside:

• SAT with a combined score of at least 1300, including a minimum of 730 in mathematics
• ACT will be accepted as an alternative to SAT with a combined score of at least 27 and a minimum of at least 31 in mathematics
