This research project is one of a number of projects at this institution. It is in competition for funding with one or more of these projects. Project description
A number of environments nowadays are based on extracting useful knowledge from significant amounts of data. Regardless of the domain, a common theme in such environments is the enormous amount of data generated, something that requires sophisticated analysis to manage a range of trade-offs in terms of cost, performance, scalability, energy consumed, resources, traffic and so on. The idea of this project will be to investigate some of the trade-offs and propose solid solutions for managing these motivated from Internet-of-Things real-world application scenarios or industry as part of the Industry 4.0 vision.

- Describe how you have helped another with their learning either informally or formally or any service or leadership roles you might have had including extracurricular activities.
- Describe any community activities that you have been part of; such as hackathons, societies related to academics, or other extracurricular community activities for which you have participated in.
- How do you see your future after the PhD?
